Winning at the Midwest Film Fest with Dubious Ruffians

It was a treat to have a short film I did be a part of the badass Midwest Film Festival, despite the pandemic robbing us all of the traditional movie-going experience. MFF had it covered though, because they screened these shorts at the ChiTown Movies DRIVE-IN! Where one could order food and beer, and enjoy the films, all from the comfort and safety of the car!

And lo and behold, Dubious Ruffians won Best Film of the Night! Writer/Director Kevin Pickman even got a trophy made of solid gold!

I absolutely love this short and now it is available to view online in its entirety! In it, my family and I are kidnapped when two siblings invade our home in order for their dying mother to pass away in the beloved house they grew up in. You know. That old chestnut. Enjoy.

Wednesday, Oct 21. Doors open at 5:30pm and screening starts at 6:30pm.
ChiTown Movies, 2343 S Throop St in Pilsen.
