On top of the world in body, no organs

Those lovable rogues at Avalanche Theatre invited me to take part in their Next Draft Series, an ongoing new play incubator, and I was thrilled to jump in. Now we are revealing ourselves to the public with a couple staged readings at the Understudy bookstore!

In body, no organs, Hallelujah has died. As she descends from the earth, she finds herself after life, waist deep in floodwaters, no sun, seemingly no land, and no other souls in sight. All she has are the clothes on her back and a giant gash down the middle of her chest.

Playwright Dizzy Turek, Director Christina Casano, Dramaturg Alexander Utz, and this stellar cast have created a truly funny, sweet, poignant new work about what we take with us and what we let go.

I’ll be playing the parts of Man on Porch and Birdman.

It will be a hoot.
